Nutritional Health on Hilton Head Island

Making your health and nutrition a top priority.

Symbios Health is pleased to offer our patients an evidence-based Nutrition Network through Jean Magarelli, RN, a trained Nutrition Network practitioner. Jean is exceptionally knowledgeable and is dedicated to teaching our local community about the dangers of excessive sugar and carbohydrate consumption. Jean shares simple solutions to choose the right food through dietary education, meal planning, and general nutritional awareness.

Your optimal metabolic health requires quality nutrition to prevent and reverse chronic diseases. Schedule a class or personal consultation with Jean today by calling 843.738.4800.

Win by “Losing”

How can we win when we lose? Losing weight makes us feel and look better. Eating healthy, non-processed foods reduces inflammation in our body, lowers our blood glucose levels, lowers our blood pressure, and gives us more energy.

Join us Monday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Call ahead to reserve a spot.

On our journey to win by losing weight, we’ll share the benefits of healthy eating, weight loss, and ultimately becoming a “winner.” We meet in a small group setting led by nutrition practitioner Jean Magarelli, RN. Classes are $35 each, and a package of three classes is $90.

Nutrition is an essential component of life and health.

Essential amino acids from proteins, fatty acids from fats, and vitamins and minerals are crucial to every person’s diet. Nutrition is foundational to living a happy and healthy life. Since 1977, the dietary guidelines have encouraged eating fewer whole foods and more sugar, refined carbohydrates, processed foods, and seed oils. As we have consumed more calories from boxes, bags, and cans rather than from nature, the number of illnesses (obesity, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart disease, dementia, and cancer) has increased to an all-time high in epidemic proportions.

Happy, healthy, and humane local food sources.

Symbios is pleased to enjoy healthy and humane local food sources from our friends at Fili-West Farms. Owner Nathan Boggs makes weekly deliveries at the Bluffton Farmer’s Market every Thursday afternoon.

Nathan’s happy birds receive fresh air, exercise, sunshine, and a clean living area. They can freely forage for bugs and grasses while eating as much of their wholesome, un-medicated, grain-based, animal bi-product-free feed as they want. It’s better for them, better for the land, and better for you.

Place your order online and receive it in person from Nathan this Thursday.
